Voting with a Difference -Make Your Vote Count for the Community

As you are probably aware, Chebsey Parish Council is helping raise funds for a new Recreation Area in Norton Bridge and as such have applied to various external bodies for help with funding.

We are pleased to report that we have been successful with our bid with the Tesco Bags for Help Scheme which guarantees at least £1,000 towards the play and fitness equipment. The project has also been accepted for the Calor Rural Community Fund. So here’s how you can help.

Tesco Bags for Help –Every time you shop at Tesco you should be given a blue token which you use to vote for your chosen charity at the entrance to the store. ‘The Norton Bridge Recreation Area Project’ along with two other successful projects will go forward for a public vote in the Tesco Stafford store with their customers deciding the outcome. The most popular charity voted for will receive £5,000, 2nd £2,000 and the third choice £1,000.

So you can help determine which charity receives the most! Voting takes place in the Tesco store in Stafford now and until 30th June.
If for any reason you don’t get offered a token please ask for one as every token counts. Also, if you shop at a different Tesco you can always retain your token to deposit at the Stafford store at a later date. So please give your support and put your token/s in the Norton Bridge Recreation Area – Chebsey Parish Council box.

Calor Rural Community Fund – For this you first need to register on the Calor web site, Welcome Calor Gas,

Each user who registers will have 10 votes which can be used during the voting period and can be used on one project or split between several. At the end of the voting period (22nd May -26th June) the ten projects in each category with the most votes will go in the final for the judges to decide the winners. Obviously the more votes we get the greater the chance we have in getting to the final. So please register and vote for Norton Bridge Recreation Area, Staffordshire.

Thank you for taking the time to consider our requests – your voting can make a difference.
