Rotary in Stone has a new Leader

Philip Leason (Sir Philip actually!) the new leader of Rotary in Stone 2017

Philip Leason became the new leader of Rotary in Stone recently when he took over the reins from Will Tonge.

Philip has great plans for the next twelve months – most of the traditional activities will continue so look out for Rotary’s Children in Need activities in November and the Santa Sleigh in December. He will also be spearheading Rotary’s local initiatives to raise awareness and cash for the campaign to End Polio Now.

Philip Leason is congratulated by Will Tonge as he hands over the reins

Look out for some new initiatives as Philip aims to develop more local connections with other organisations and individuals.

Speaking shortly after he took over the leadership of Rotary in Stone Philip said:

‘Stone Rotary has served the community with pride for very nearly eighty years and will continue to do so. If we are to take on more tasks in our own community we need to recruit new members and friends who will help us as Rotary evolves.

‘Rotary is open to men and women who want to put something back into the community, both locally, nationally or internationally.’
