After a disastrous Qualifying session with bike issues which left Gary Freeman starting in P36th on the grid for all his 350 Classic races, he shone through to earn a best of 3rd place alongside an 8th, 6th and a 5th place, an outstanding result from so far back on the Grid of 44 riders…
In the ACU 500 Race, he was out of luck again, whilst lying in second place his throttle stuck wide open going into Redgate corner and he crashed into the gravel ending a certain rostrum finish!

Speaking afterwards, he said

“Not my best Donington Meeting

but you take the rough with the smooth in this game, I’m all fired up for our next meeting in September  at Anglesey, one of my favourite tracks..”

Wishing Gary Better luck for then
