Following a truly successful Festival this year, the committee have already had their first meeting since this years event ended and have already started plans for next years extravaganza.
First thing to note is that there will be another Christmas musical concert following on from the packed audiences at Christ Church who enjoyed Fret & Fiddle so much in 2016 and we are looking for a late November slot with the same musicians.
Secondly The 2018 festival shall commence on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May 2018 with the 3rd running of our Stone Soapbox Race for which 6 teams have already confirmed their places. The main changes will be s slightly earlier start of 2pm and some really interesting new additions, more if which will be confirmed in the coming weeks and months.
The dates for the 2018 Festival post Soapbox Race have been confirmed as starting from Saturday 2nd June 2018 going through to Sunday, 10th June 2018.
Our creative and inspirational juices are already running as a committee in readiness for 2018 so it’s destined to be a real cracker however before all that we have our AGM and the enormous pleasure of handing out cheques to those local groups and charities who will be the beneficiaries from the monies raised thus year.
This, combined with seeing the happy faces of all of you who come to the Festival on mass year in year out, are what we do it for – basically it’s smiles all round.
