It’s 1898 and the first women have arrived at University. Not that they’re allowed to graduate.

This interesting, witty and thoroughly entertaining play tells the story of the battle for equality at a time when only men could benefit from education.

Faced with social and political backlash, the ladies are forced to choose between their education or social acceptance. Life and especially love, is impossibly difficult for a ‘Blue Stocking’.

STONE REVELLERS are the only theatre group to present shows in Stone and have gained a reputation for their quality productions, of which they present 4 each year. A musical, comedy, play and panto make up the annual with the play often a real highlight with several NODA nominations in the past few years.
