The talented cast of this year’s Stafford Gatehouse Theatre Summer School are ready to showcase their skills for the opening night of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on Wednesday 16th August.
Over 70 young performers – who had to audition for their place – have been busy in rehearsals since Monday 31st July.
As well as being given the opportunity to perform on the Gatehouse Theatre stage, the young cast who are aged from 7 – 18 years old are led by a professional creative team, including Director John Ward, Choreographer Verity Bray and Musical Director David Hewson.
The show will feature many popular songs – such as ‘Jacob and Sons’, ‘Joseph’s Coat’ and ‘Any Dream Will Do’ – immortalised by previous West End productions which starred Donny Osmond, Phillip Schofield and Jason Donavon in the eponymous role.
Ahead of the performance Director John Ward said:
“The whole cast have worked extremely hard over the last couple of weeks and myself and the rest of the creative team are overjoyed with how the show is coming together.
“No doubt Stafford audiences will be familiar with ‘Joseph’ as a musical and know what a fun-filled experience it is. This show is certainly no exception, and I would encourage anyone looking for an evening’s entertainment – or a family activity during the school holidays – to book tickets for next week!”
Tickets for Joseph are £12.00 each, with family tickets charged at £42, and can be booked by calling the box office on 01785 619080 or by visiting www.staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
