Like local talent? Like new music? Then mark your diaries for Friday 13 October as Stone plays host to an Open Mic night.
Stone Labour Party is putting on the event at St Dominic’s Social Centre in Station Road, but don’t worry – it’s not a political event and everyone is more than welcome to come along and enjoy the music.
Local bands and artists are encouraged to book their slot at the mic early by contacting the organisers at firstname.lastname@example.org. Acts of all musical tastes and styles are welcome – so why not come and show off your talent to the people of Stone?
Alongside the Open Mic event, the night will also play host to special guests “The IdiOms” a Staffordshire based extraterrestrial alt-folk band. The band are regulars at events like the Hay Day Festival and the Nantwich Jazz Festival.
Commenting on the event, co-organiser Adam Drane said: “This event is a great opportunity for people in Stone to come out and celebrate all of the amazing talent that is hidden away in the town.
“We would love to see just what incredible artists there are in the town ready to perform.
“The IdiOms will make an excellent addition to the night too, bringing their unique folk music to a whole new audience.”
The venue will have a fully licensed bar throughout the evening and doors will open at 8pm.
Early bird tickets are available at the discounted rate of £5 (plus fees) at
