The Eccleshall Network (TEN) finds a new way to bring the local community together

The face of local networking is changing in Eccleshall as a brand-new community initiative is launched bringing together residents, businesses and charitable causes.

The Eccleshall Network (TEN) is a not-for-profit organisation created to make a positive difference to the community. Born out of a desire to connect the people of Eccleshall, TEN will host a varied range of 1-hour social events in and around the town, the first opening its doors this November and monthly thereafter.

The concept is simple: open to all and lasting just an hour, TEN’s gatherings will invite one local business to inform on a key topic and one local good cause to highlight their great work in the community. Either side there will be an informal opportunity to meet and chat with others attending, with a drinks and nibbles included. Tickets are just £10 with at least 50% going to the charitable cause.

The first event will be held at The Artisan, Eccleshall at 6.30pm on Monday 6th November 2017. Rob Fearnley from Bowcock and Pursaill Solicitors will advise on LPA’s (Lasting Powers of Attorney) followed by Eccleshall Community First Responders.

TEN founder and Director of Eccleshall based accountancy firm Piper Hulse, Tim Hulse, said:

“When we were planning the launch event we wanted a speaker with similar values as us and one who is a contributor to our community. Rob lives and works in Eccleshall and is involved in local causes such as the Scouts and truly understands how important it is to give time and resources over in order to benefit our upcoming generations.”

Tim continued:

“Being our first charitable cause, we’re delighted to support the Eccleshall First Responders with our November meeting because we’ve seen first-hand the superb work they do.”

“We want TEN to provide an informal platform for people to meet, chat and support these important local causes. The foundations for this have been laid by other local groups – we feel it’s time to build for the benefit of everyone in our community.”

Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite on TEN’s website,
