Many of us will remember Reverend Sally Smith based at St Michael’s Church Stone, both for her enormous smile and secondly for her generosity and compassion.
Sally is now Reverend of St Mark’s Church in Shelton. She tells us
“It is the spiritual home to a growing number of people from Iran, a country with a rich Persian culture of food, music and hospitality. We have gained so much from our Persian brothers and sisters sharing their warm and welcoming culture with us, adding diversity and their own special brand of fun to our worship and social occasions. St Mark’s is also the base for Sanctus, our social enterprise supporting asylum seekers and refugees, and so much of our focus is on enabling this important work to flourish.”
Sally wants to share with you a taste of Persian culture to raise funds for her important work. Adam Jones, proprietor of Granville’s, Stone, has kindly offered his premises for the evening. Join us for a Persian Pop Up evening on November 23rd 7pm for 7.30pm
Pre-ordering is essential when you buy your tickets £20 per head. Call in to Granville’s or call 077364 13097.
