Gazette readers are invited to join Age Concern Stone & District on a theatre outing to the Stoke Repertory Theatre.
They’re off to see “Breezblock Park” an hilarious comedy from Willy Russell, the writer of Shirley Valentine, Educating Rita and Blood Brothers, on the 9th December, at 2.30pm.
Set amongst the bickering families of a Liverpool Council estate, ‘Breezeblock Park’ is said to have inspired the popular classic sitcom “The Royle Family” and is often described as Willy Russell’s most laugh-out-loud play. When it premiered at the Liverpool Everyman in 1975 it starred a young Pete Postlethwaite and Julie Walters, and went on to be Willy Russell’s first big hit.
Tickets are just £9.00 and free transport is available, (subject to demand) If you’d like to join them contact their office on 01785 817906 or call in and ask any of their volunteers.
