On the 26th they sang in a Christmas Carol Service along with the C-K Community Choir at Walton Community Centre and on Thursday 30th they sang again with the C-K Community Choir to the Alzheimer Society at the Christ Church Centre in Stone.
The school have received many compliments regarding the children’s behaviour and singing. They are great ambassadors for the school – well done!
Oulton First Visit Aston Hall Museum Birmingham
Class 2 at Oulton First enjoyed a trip to Aston Hall Museum, Birmingham during the autumn term where they were able to explore the story of the Great Fire of London in a historic setting.
Pupils discussed how the fire started by looking at bread ovens in the kitchen and discovered why the flames spread so quickly and how they were eventually put out.
Some pupils were able to dress up as characters such as Thomas Farriner and King Charles II.
Pupils explored a bedroom like the one Samuel Pepys slept in and also learnt 17th-century fire-fighting methods by passing a leather fire bucket along a line.
