The Donna Louise has launched “Step Up” – its 1,000,000 step challenge!
From 1st April*, those who sign up to “Step Up” will promise to walk, run, dance or skip at their own pace, and in their own time, to complete an average of 10,000 steps each day for 100 days, while getting sponsored for every stride.
10,000 steps is the daily recommended amount to maintain good health, so not only will participants be doing a #ONEINAMILLION thing to improve their own health, they’ll be stepping up for children like Oscar. . .
Five-year-old Oscar has CHARGE syndrome, a rare genetic disorder which affects his heart, growth, eyes and ears. He’s undergone two bouts of emergency surgery in the last year alone.
The bubbly character has been coming to The Donna Louise since he was just one-year-old. His Dad said,
“Oscar loves coming to The Donna Louise, it makes a real difference to him. Even for a few moments we can forget about the challenges and difficulties and have some fun. For us it gives us a bit of respite and is an incredible help.”
Whether it’s one person who wants to make a difference, or a business looking to get their whole workforce involved, by stepping up for children like Oscar and taking part in The Donna Louise’s 1,000,000 step challenge, supporters will be making sure that the charity can be there for families like Oscar every step of the way.
Registration for “Step Up” is open now at www.thedonnalouise.org/step It’s just £10 to sign up and everyone who takes part will receive a Step Up t-shirt and welcome pack with loads of ideas and inspiration to keep them going throughout the 100 days.
* Can’t start on 1st April? No problem! Simply start your 100 day challenge on any day you choose.
