Midlands Premier.

Lichfield were at home to Doncaster Phoenix with a tight game seeing the hosts just losing out 15 – 17. Longton hosted Derby with the hosts working their way to a narrow 28 – 26 win.

Midlands 1 West.

Burton travelled to Rugby Lions cementing their position at the top of the table with an impressive 10 – 54 win. Stoke welcomed a travelling Bromsgrove, but a rare defeat saw the potteries side losing 8 – 14. Wolverhampton were on the road to Stourbridge Lions and came home with a vital win 19 – 24.

Midlands 2 West (North).

Leek took the long journey to Ludlow but couldn’t find any success with an 18 – 10 loss. Tamworth welcomed fellow Staffordshire rivals Walsall but it was the visitors who took the win 28 – 29 in a tight game. Newcastle hosted Kidderminster and fought their way to a 20 – 18 win.

Midlands 3 West (North).

Barton travelled to Stafford but couldn’t find any form with a 87 – 0 loss keeping them rooted to the bottom but propelling the hosts into second place. Willenhall travelled to Trentham but didn’t find any success with a 7 – 3 loss. Top of the table Burntwood were on the road to Shrewsbury suffering only their second loss of the season 29 – 17. Uttoxeter were away at second placed Telford but narrowly missed out on the win 17 – 13. Cannock travelled to Harborne earning a comprehensive 5 – 20 victory. Handsworth hosted Edwardians but it was the visitors who took the points 8 – 17.

Midlands 4 West (North).

Top of the table Eccleshall hosted Clee Hill and suffered a rare loss 5 – 15. Rugeley welcomed Yardley & District but the visitors took the win 7 – 13. There were no league games for Bloxwich, Essington or Wednesbury this week.

Midlands 5 West (North).

Gnosall travelled to Warley but came home empty handed after a 27 – 10 loss. Stourport were unable to make their fixture with St Leonards conceding the game to the Staffordshire side. Linley were on the road to Bishops Castle but narrowly missed out with a 15 – 13 loss.

Staffordshire Reserves League Division 2.

Whittington took the short trip for a clash against Burton B, taking all of the points with a 19 – 34 win. There were no league games for Stone this week.
