Members of Stafford Gatehouse Youth Theatre (SGYT) are busy preparing for the latest production to take place in the MET Studio later this month – Disney’s Mulan Jnr.
Join SGYT groups 5 and 6 for a Far Eastern adventure. Based on Disney’s Oscar-nominated film, Disney’s Mulan Jnr. is a heart-warming celebration of culture, honour and the fighting spirit. With hit songs and a story packed with action, humour and heart, Disney’s Mulan Jnr. brings ancient China to life with a modern sensibility.
The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous dragon sidekick, Mushu, to save the Emperor! Defying the village matchmaker, Mulan takes up arms and disguises herself as a boy in order to spare her father from having to serve in the army. As the great battle with the Huns approaches, Mulan must choose between revealing her true identity as a girl or saving all of China with her clever plan.
Press and Marketing Officer at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, Tom Waldron, says:
“We’ve very excited to be bringing the Far East to the MET Studio!
“The show boasts some brilliant musical numbers and the whole family will enjoy this funny, heart-warming story. The group has been rehearsing for months so we hope to see a large audience turnout in support of their efforts.”
Disney’s Mulan Jnr will be performed in the MET Studio at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre on Tuesday 20th – Friday 23rd March at 7pm.
Tickets are £7.50, with a concession price of £6.50, and are available from the Box Office on 01785 619080 or via www.staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
