Lichfield hosted 2nd from bottom Newbold on Avon, a tight match seeing the Staffordshire team running out victors 27 – 21. Longton took the lengthy journey to Scunthorpe, but came home on the back of a difficult 47 – 17 loss which saw them slipping to 2nd from bottom in the league.

League leaders Burton hosted Sutton Coldfield continuing their run of impressive wins with a very comprehensive 59 – 5 victory. Stoke travelled to 2nd place Dudley Kingswinford but came home empty handed after a 35 – 17 loss. Wolverhampton’s were on the road to Bromsgrove but couldn’t collect any much-needed points with a 57 – 19 loss.
Midlands 2 West (North).
Leek hosted Spartans working their way to a 27 – 12 win. Newcastle played host to top of the table Whitchurch and just narrowly lost out in a close match 15 – 21. Tamworth travelled to Kidderminster but had to endure a long afternoon ending in a 76 – 10 loss. Walsall were away to bottom of the league Cleobury Mortimer, but it was the hosts who took the points with a 34 – 30 win.
Midlands 3 West (North).
Barton hosted a travelling Uttoxeter, with the visitors taking the points 10 – 50. Willenhall hosted Harborne with the visitors taking the points 21 – 32. Burntwood welcomed a travelling Trentham and continued their promotion push with a comprehensive 103 – 20 victory. Cannock were at home to top of the table Telford, but couldn’t grab any points with a 11 – 36 loss. Handsworth were away at Shrewsbury coming home with all the points after a 19 – 24 victory. Stafford were on the road at Edwardians keeping up their promotion hopes with a 12 – 32 win.

Bloxwich hosted a travelling Wednesbury with the visitors taking all of the points with a 10 – 38 victory. There were no league games for Eccleshall, Essington or Rugeley this week.
