A group of employees from Michelin in Stoke-on-Trent have put their best foot forward to raise more than £500 for charity.
A total of 14 runners from Michelin’s Campbell Road site took part in The Donna Louise 10k and 5k Family Fun Run at Trentham Gardens on Sunday (20 May).
Michelin employee Katie Peacock, who organised the team, said:
“We are really proud to support The Donna Louise as our charity of the year for 2018 and the fun run was a great way to get involved. There was such a lovely atmosphere on the day and everyone had a really good time.
“The Donna Louise provides a vital service to so many children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and I know that every penny we raise will go towards supporting their much-needed work.”
Josh Slater, corporate relationship manager at The Donna Louise, added :
“We are delighted that Michelin is supporting The Donna Louise and on behalf of the children, young adults and their families who will benefit from their help, I’d liketo say a big thank you.
“We are looking forward to working with the Michelin team on a whole host of fundraising activities throughout the year. Our Family Fun Run is one of our flagship events with more than 1,000 runners, so it was great that a team from Michelin took part.”
