Taylor Swift and Fortnite’s street dance moves inspire half term workshops at Stone’s Rooftop Studios

Stone dance and performing arts school Rooftop Studios has something to keep everyone happy this summer half term, with two full day workshops offering flexible holiday childcare.

The hit game Fortnite has inspired the first of the two workshops – taking place on Wednesday 30th May the ‘Funk n Floss’ workshop will see youngsters improve their funky dance moves and flossing skills!

As well as being taught by a professional street dancer, kids will enjoy creating their very own Fortnite characters, making costumes and face Painting alongside a host of other fun and games.

The phenomenon that is Taylor Swift will be the subject of the second workshop on Thursday 31st May. Wannabe pop stars will have the chance to release their inner diva – learning the star’s songs and dances from a professional Taylor Swift tribute artist Xenna before creating their own pop star look with hair styling and costume design.

Aimed at 4 – 11 year olds, the workshops offer flexible holiday childcare, as studio director, Laura Keeling, explains:

“Every school holiday we try to come up with workshops that are fun and creative, drawing on the latest trends – and this summer half term’s programme is no exception! Parents can rest assured that their kids will be kept busy and entertained by professional teachers – and that not only are they having bags of fun but are learning new skills and building confidence. The workshops run on normal school hours with wraparound care options available – offering truly flexible childcare for busy modern families.”

The workshops, priced at £25 per child, per day will take place the purpose-built studio above Stone’s High Street Arcade. For full details and to book a space, head to www.rooftopstudios.co.uk
