Volunteer match-making event at Stone Community Hub

A special event in Stone will match up people in the town looking to volunteer with the organisations who need help to deliver their vital community services.

Stone Community Hub is hosting the event on Friday 1  June from 5pm to 7pm, the first day of this year’s national Volunteers’ Week.

Charities and other not-for-profit groups from in and around Stone will be showcasing their work and promoting their current volunteer opportunities. Local people who are interested in volunteering can drop in to meet the groups and sign up.

Stone Community Hub manager Karen Wardell said:

“We have lots of organisations in and around Stone who deliver vital community services. Their work just wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers who give up some of their time to make a real difference in their community. Anyone who is interested in volunteering should come along on 1 June to find out more about they can get involved.”

The volunteering event will be held in the Frank Jordan Centre in Lichfield Street, Stone, on Friday 1 June from 5pm to 7pm. Charities and other not-for-profit groups in and around Stone can email manager@stonecommunityhub.org or call 01785 812417 if they would like to attend.
