Aston Marina’s No.26 restaurant releases sizzling summer menu…

Renowned for creating menus that reflect the seasons and make use of great, locally-sourced ingredients, the kitchen team at Aston Marina’s No.26 restaurant has unveiled its new summer menu.

Presenting dishes ideal for enjoying in the eatery’s cosy, informal dining space or its alfresco decking area overlooking the neighbouring waterway, the menu features summer flavours at their finest. New summer starters include crispy shredded beef bruschetta; sweet potato, shallot & sweetcorn quesedillas; lemon pepper southern-style chicken; crispy calamari; duck & spring onion croquette; classic caprese salad; a delicious King prawn salad and the ubiquitous soup of the day, which will also reflect summer ingredients.

When it comes to mains, both committed omnivores and vegetarians will be spoilt for choice. Restaurant favourites like traditional beer-battered fish & chips and pie of the day rub shoulders with new summer dishes that include a 35-day aged fillet of Aberdeen Angus beef; roast fillet of Atlantic code & flaked salmon linguine; sweet pepper, chickpea and apricot tagine; slow-cooked pork with ginger & lime; garlic & rosemary marinated lamb chop and chicken supreme stuffed with brie and wrapped in Parma ham. Daily fish specials, a wide selection of salads, sandwiches and light bites are also on offer alongside stone-baked pizza from the kitchen’s authentic pizza oven and Staffordshire-bred steaks from the grill.

When it comes to something sweet to finish, diners won’t be disappointed – the marina’s award-winning rich triple-choc brownie and ever-popular range of Snugbury’s ice cream are joined by raspberry & Pimms panna cotta; a classic Eton mess; toffee & fudge cheesecake and freshly-made churros served with chocolate sauce.

Director Helen Webb says:

“We’re always hugely excited to launch a new menu and see what our kitchen team has done with the season’s best ingredients – and we have to say they’ve outdone themselves this time. The front of house team was blown away by the new dishes during our tasting session and we can’t wait to share them with our diners!”

Several of the new summer dishes are available as part of No.26’s summer set menu which, available from Mon-Weds evening, offers diners either two courses for £16 or three courses for £20.

An extensive breakfast menu is served daily and there is always a selection of freshly baked cakes to enjoy alongside coffee or team in the bar. To find out more head to
