Last chance to catch record-breaking open-air Shakespeare at Stafford Castle

After an incredible opening week, this year’s critically-acclaimed Stafford Festival Shakespeare production of Macbeth is set to be performed for the very last time on Saturday 14th July.

The show opened to a near capacity audience on Thursday 28th June and has already sold over 10,400 tickets– smashing the total figure of the last four Stafford Festival Shakespeare productions with a week of performances remaining – and is on course to be one of the most successful ever staged at Stafford Castle.

What’s more, with another week of sunshine and warm temperatures forecast for the region, demand to see the final few performances is expected to reach fever pitch.

Stafford Festival Shakespeare spokesman, Thomas Waldron, says:

“It’s been an absolutely incredible opening run! Five star reviews, record ticket sales and gorgeous sunshine throughout – this year’s show really has had everything.

“On behalf of everyone at Stafford Festival Shakespeare, we would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our loyal audiences who, as ever, have been incredible in their support for the production. And to anyone who hasn’t yet seen the show – don’t delay, make sure you book your ticket before the run ends this weekend.”

Macbeth runs until Saturday 14th July 2018 at Stafford Castle. Full ticket information and this year’s catering options can be obtained from the box office on 01785 619080 or by visiting
