The talented cast of this year’s Stafford Gatehouse Theatre Summer Project are ready to showcase their skills for the opening night of Our House on Wednesday 8th August. The show runs until Saturday 11th August.
Over 30 young performers – who had to audition for their place – have been busy in rehearsals since Monday 23rd July.
As well as being given the opportunity to perform on the Gatehouse Theatre stage, the young cast, who are aged from 13 – 18 years old, are led by a professional creative team, including Director John Ward, Choreographer Verity Bray and Musical Director David Hewson.
The show will feature many of Madness’ most popular hits, including ‘House of Fun’, ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Driving in my Car’, ‘It Must Be Love’ and of course ‘Our House’.
Ahead of the performance Production Coordinator Wesley Carter said:
“The whole cast and crew have worked extremely hard over the last couple of weeks, and we’re really excited to be adding another great show to the Gatehouse Summer School tradition”.
Stafford audiences will be familiar with the high quality of the Gatehouse shows and Our House is no exception. It’s a musical filled with life, emotion, and fun. The show opens this week and the Gatehouse encourages anyone looking for some fun summer theatre to book tickets.
Tickets for Our House are £13.00 each, with family tickets charged at £46, and can be booked by calling the box office on 01785 619080 or by visiting www.staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
