Argos is recruiting 130 new jobs to bolster Customer Management Centre

Leading retailer Argos is significantly expanding its Customer Management team in Acton Gate, Stafford, and is seeking 130 new team members as it continues to focus on delivering excellent service to customers.

The new recruits will play a key role as the first point of contact for the millions of customers who shop with Argos every week, responding to queries about products, orders and deliveries, including through Argos’s online LiveChat service and its social media channels.

As well as handling Argos customer enquiries, the customer management team also responds to queries relating to Habitat and Sainsbury’s Tu clothing ranges that are available through the Argos website.

Permanent full time and part time contracts are available and new team members will receive comprehensive training.

The 130 new customer management roles are in addition to the 90 jobs that Argos created this summer, bringing the total workforce at Acton Gate to over 700.

Chris Stroud, Customer Management Centre Director at Argos, said:

“Providing great customer service is at the heart of what we do at Argos and that’s why we’re growing our Acton Gate team by over a third this year.  Since June we have recruited 90 new colleagues and we’re now looking for 130 more helpful and enthusiastic people to join our team to deliver the fantastic service we’re known for.

“The work is fast-paced, varied and rewarding with the potential to learn a whole set of new skills. The roles are all permanent, either full or part time and we’re looking to invest in our new colleagues and help them develop their career with us.”

New recruits will benefit from competitive hourly rates and a fun and friendly team culture in addition to 24 days paid holiday and enrolment on to the company pension scheme.  Additional benefits include company discount at Sainsbury’s, Argos and Habitat and free parking.

Argos is running an open day on Saturday 22 September at the Acton Gate office for anyone that would like to learn more about the business or gain further insight into the roles on offer. Applications for roles can be made on the day as well as on the Argos website:
