A new family run book shop is opening in Eccleshall in October.
The Owner, Dr Sam Littlemore told the Gazette:
“This feels like the ideal town in which to open a bookshop. It is a very close community who are supportive of local shops and have a love of literature and the arts”.
Sam is an author, an academic and practising Child Psychologist who has had a lifelong love of books,
“I want to keep the world of books alive as part of a community. I hope the shop will become a community hub as a place to talk about books.”
She added that
“It will be a quaint, informal, relaxing atmosphere where you can have a quiet cup of coffee, read and choose a book to lose yourself in as a gift for yourself and others”.
The stock will be community curated, tailored by the feedback from customers. The books seen on the shelves when the shop opens will be chosen from the feedback from market research already carried out in Eccleshall.
The shop will be located in The Arcade, on Eccleshall High Street, and will offer good quality books and stationary. A home delivery service for local residents who are unable to visit the shop will also be available.
“We will offer an ordering service for sheet music, discount on orders for local schools, reading groups and have monthly events that will include author readings and children’s book events”.
