Burton travelled to Sheffield but came away still looking for their first success of the season after a 26 – 0 loss. Lichfield were away at Nuneaton with a 12 – 30 victory giving them their first win of the new season.
Midlands 1 West.
Longton travelled to Sutton Coldfield but couldn’t find any return to form with a 27 – 17 loss. Stoke were away at Moseley Oak with a tight game seeing the Staffordshire side just being edged out with a final score of 38 – 36.
Midlands 2 West (North).
Leek welcomed Walsall with the hosts taking all of the points with a 26 – 7 win. Newcastle were at home to newly promoted Telford and dominated the game with an impressive 81 – 0 win. Stafford hosted a travelling Wolverhampton, the visitors taking the points with a 7 – 26 win. Tamworth were away at Spartans keeping up their 100% record with a 15 – 22 win.
Midlands 3 West (North).
Cannock welcomed Burntwood with the visitors taking all of the points with a 0 – 55 win. Eccleshall hosted a travelling Trentham with the home side scoring a superb 68 – 0 victory. Handsworth were at home to Old Saltelians but couldn’t contain the visitors with a 22 – 50 loss. Uttoxeter travelled to Cleobury Mortimer but a 25 – 12 loss saw them coming home empty handed. Wednesbury were on the road to Harborne with a 22 – 29 win securing the victory.
Midlands 4 West (North).
Barton hosted Willenhall with the travellers taking the points after a 0 – 51 win. Bloxwich welcomed a travelling Rugeley with the visitors taking the points after a 17 – 44 victory. Essington were at home to Market Drayton and secured the victory with a 24 – 13 win. Linley hosted Yardley & District with a 38 – 5 final score giving them the win.
Staffordshire League Division 1.
Gnosall travelled to Shrewsbury but couldn’t find any form with a 53 – 7 loss. St Leonards were away to Stafford Development working their way to a narrow 17 – 19 win. Whittington were on the road to Wednesbury coming home on the back of a 10 – 22 win.
Staffordshire League Division 2.
Stone were away at Uttoxeter and a strong performance saw the visitors winning 12 – 43.
