Aston Marina’s N.26 restaurant has launched its latest seasonal menu; bursting with Autumnal flavours and crafted using locally-sourced ingredients.
Diners can enjoy dishes that draw on global and classic British inspiration in a modern, informal setting overlooking the peaceful waters of the neighbouring marina – or cosied up close to the restaurant’s centrepiece wood burning stove. New autumn starters include a sharing baked Camembert; poached pear salad; cumin spiced dhal samosa; smoked salmon & haddock fishcakes; crispy pancetta crumbed Somerset brie; garlic & chilli king prawns; smoked ham hock, pistachio & parsley terrine; confit of Gressingham duck leg; a charcuterie board to share and fresh soup of the day.

When it comes to mains, both committed omnivores and vegetarians will be spoilt for choice. Restaurant favourites like traditional beer-battered fish & chips and pie of the day rub shoulders with autumn dishes that include a locally sourced venison haunch steak; cannelloni with spinach, pumpkin & ricotta; free range chicken supreme; pan-seared monkfish pave; 12 hour braised blade of Staffordshire beef and slow-cooked pork belly with crispy breaded pork cheek. Daily fish specials, a wide selection of salads, sandwiches and light bites are also on offer alongside stone-baked pizza from the kitchen’s authentic pizza oven and Staffordshire-bred steaks from the grill.

Those with a sweet tooth won’t be disappointed – alongside the marina’s award-winning rich triple-choc brownie and ever-popular range of Snugbury’s ice cream, seasonal puddings include Bramley apple, plum & hazelnut crumble; vanilla crème brulée; warm treacle tart; blackberry parfait and passionfruit cheesecake. Those with a lighter appetite can opt for an affogato – comprising espresso, vanilla ice cream and an amaretto shot – as the perfect way to finish their meal.

Several of the new autumn dishes are available as part of No.26’s summer set menu which, available from Mon-Weds evening, offers diners either two courses for £16 or three courses for £20. An extensive breakfast menu is served daily and there is always a selection of freshly baked cakes to enjoy alongside coffee or team in the bar. To find out more head to www.astonmarina.co.uk
