Stone Town Council will play host to a large collection of more than 40 classic cars on Saturday, October 13. The event will take over the High Street and Market Square between 10.30am and 2pm.
Local resident Peter Cresswell of Stone Classic Car Group has co-ordinated his friends and colleagues to bring their classic cars to Stone for the first time and there is sure to be a car to provoke excitement even for the oldest memory.
The idea to have classic cars in the High Street came from David Barrett of Regent Travel and David says it promises to be an exciting day for enthusiasts both young and old.
Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said:
“The Town Council is pleased to be able to bring the first classic car event to Stone High Street.
“With a wide range of vehicles dating from the 1930s to the 1980s there is sure to be something for everyone. It has been a pleasure to work alongside Peter and David to bring this event to fruition.”
