Wine – and gin – lovers looking for a fun and educational way to spend their Saturday evening should pick up a ticket for Wolseley Wine Loft’s Winter Wine Festival, which takes place this Saturday, 20th October at stately Sandon Hall.
The team from ‘the loft’ and wine experts from various suppliers will showcase almost 100 different wines, spirits and beers in the hall’s elegant reception rooms. With red, white, rosé and sparkling wines on taste from New and Old World producers there really will be something for everyone; whilst the relaxed, informal atmosphere will make it a fun evening for those with and in-depth knowledge of wines and beginners alike.
Alongside wines to sample there will be a good selection of gins on taste and even some local beers courtesy of Stone-based brewer, Lymestone Brewery.
Special discounts will be offered on orders placed on the night; making this the perfect opportunity to select your favourite wines and stock up for gifts and entertaining over the Christmas period. Wolseley Wine Loft proprietor, Brenda Rhodes, says:
Brenda Rhodes
“We’ve got over 500 wines in stock at ‘the loft’, and this is a fantastic opportunity for wine lovers to sample a good cross-section of wines specifically selected with the festive season in mind. With Christmas and New Year on the horizon, visitors will also be able to take advantage of special discounts on the evening – great if they’re looking to buy in bulk ahead of the party season, be it for entertaining or for gifts.”
The Winter Wine Festival will take place at Sandon Hall, on the A51 between Weston and Stone, from 7.30pm – 9.30pm on Saturday, 20th October.
