George Clarke of TV’s Amazing Spaces headed to Birmingham’s NEC today to open the UK’s largest leisure vehicle show, running until 21 October. George is pictured with the new Lamborghini Urus, hitched up to an Airstream Yukon, in a pairing worth more than £300,000.
The Lamborghini Urus, with a twin turbo, V8 4.0 litre engine, which produces more than 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque, is the new Super SUV from the Italian super sports car brand and the first Lamborghini with a factory-fitted tow bar. Delivered from £165,000 on the road in the UK, the particular Urus displayed is worth £217,000 with an Airstream Yukon that retails from £85,000.
The exclusive feature is just one from more than 1,000 motorhomes, touring caravans, campervans, caravan holiday homes and trailer tents with a combined value of more than £36.5 million at the NEC throughout the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2018’s six days. The event showcases all the new-for-2019 leisure vehicles with more than 400 exhibitors, including product launches daily in the LIVE Theatre.
Caravan and Motorhome Club ambassador Matt Allwright joined George Clarke on stage for the official show opening, with celebrity appearances during the week including TV’s Dr Hilary Jones and Dr Dawn Harper; swimmer and media personality Sharron Davies MBE; and explorers Bonita Norris and Sean Conway.
Visitors can enjoy live cooking demonstrations, relax in the Woodland Trust Wellbeing Rest Area and take advantage of the weekend crèche. With an array of free attractions, such as Motorhome Manoeuvring, Towing Tuition and a Campervan Test Drive, the six-day show promises an entertaining day out for all the family.
Tickets for the Motorhome and Caravan Show are available on the door from just £12.00*, with free entry for children aged 15 and under. For information visit www.mcshow.co.uk or call 0844 873 7333.
