Lichfield Ladies travelled to Eccles Ladies working their way to a spectacular 0 – 94 victory and maintaining their 3rd place in the league.

Womens Championship Midlands 2.

Lichfield Ladies II were away at Wymondham Wasps Ladies but came home empty handed after a 22 – 5 loss.

NC Midlands 2 Central.

There were no league matches for Cannock Lionesses, Handsworth Ladies or Wolverhampton Ladies this week.

Midlands NC Merit League.

The result for Burton Ladies against Silhillians Ladies was not available at time of publication. The match for Longton Ladies against Telford Hornets Ladies was postponed.

Staffordshire League Division 1.

St Leonards hosted Wednesbury 2nd XV, working their way to a comprehensive 78 – 0 victory and first place in the table. The result for Whittington versus Willenhall 2nd XV was not available at time of publication. There were no league Gnosall this week.

Staffordshire League Division 2.

Stone welcomed Leek 3rd XV, the final score an impressive 64 – 29 taking the home side to 2nd place in the league.

Midlands Intermediate Cup Round 2.

Leek hosted Ilkeston with a 21 – 10 victory seeing the North Staffordshire continuing in the competition. Newcastle were away at Long Eaton a 47 – 0 knocking them out of the cup. Stafford welcomed Ashbourne, a close game ending in a 25 – 22 win for the home side. Tamworth couldn’t make their match with Kidderminster conceding the fixture.

Wolverhampton travelled to Kenilworth but a 24 – 22 final score wasn’t enough to get them through to the next round. Leek and Stafford go through to the next round.

Midlands Senior Vase Round 1.

Alcester couldn’t make their match with Eccleshall conceding the fixture. Wednesbury host Handsworth a close game ending in a 36 – 33 final score giving victory to the home side. Eccleshall and Wednesbury go through the next round.

Midlands Junior Vase Round 2.

Barton under Needwood hosted North Hykeham narrowly losing with a 17 – 19 final score. Linley travelled to Mellish, the home side taking the win 17 – 10. Rugeley welcomed Old Wheatleyans, the visitors advancing through the competition with a 22 – 37 win.
