Womens Championship North.
Lichfield Ladies welcomed Loughborough Town Ladies, with the hosts working their way to an impressive 30-5 victory and climbing to 2nd in the league.
Womens Championship Midlands 2.
There were no league games for Lichfield Ladies II this week.
NC Midlands 2 Central.
There were no league games for Cannock Lionesses, Handsworth Ladies or Wolverhampton Ladies this week.
Midlands NC Merit League.
There were no league games for Burton Ladies or Longton Ladies this week.
Burton took the short trip to Derby for a Friday night fixture, building on last week’s win with a 17-44 victory. Lichfield were at home to 2nd in the league Bridgnorth the Staffordshire side fighting hard to grab a narrow victory 34-31.
Midlands 1 West.
Longton welcomed a travelling Hereford, but a 17-34 loss left the hosts rooted to the foot of the table. Stoke were at home to Sutton Coldfield a good afternoon of rugby ending in a 34-22 victory for the potteries team.
Midlands 2 West (North).
Leek travelled to 2nd in the league Ludlow, coming home empty handed after a 40-19 loss. Newcastle welcomed near neighbours Crewe & Nantwich a close game ending in favour of the hosts 23-22. Stafford hosted Walsall with the visitors taking all the points with a 13-36 win. Tamworth maintained their unbeaten run with a 29-22 victory at home against Veseyans. Wolverhampton travelled to bottom of the table Telford the visitors taking the win 12-48.
Midlands 3 West (North).
Burntwood travelled to Handsworth with the hosts inflicting the first loss of the season 38-32 on the visitors. Cannock were unable to make their match with Edwardians, conceding the fixture. Eccleshall welcomed Cleobury Mortimer working their way to an impressive 29-0 victory. Trentham were unable to make their match with Old Saltelians, conceding the fixture. Uttoxeter were away at Harborne, coming home with all the points following a 20-34 win. Wednesbury were on the road to 2nd in the league Shrewsbury, the hosts taking the win 34-5.
Midlands 4 West (North).
Barton were on the road to Bloxwich, a tight game ending in a draw 17-17. Essington hosted Aldridge with a 7-13 loss leaving the home side at the bottom of the table. The match between Linley and Willenhall had to be postponed. Market Drayton couldn’t make their fixture with Rugeley conceding the match to the hosts who went to the top of the league.
Staffordshire League Division 1.
Gnosall continued their good form with a comprehensive 34-7 win against a travelling Stoke Development. Whittington travelled for a game against Ashbourne 2nd XV but came home empty handed after a 32-12 loss. There were no league matches for St Leonards this week but the Staffordshire team still retained their 1st place league position.
Staffordshire League Division 2.
Stone travelled for a match against Rugeley 2nd XV, but it was the hosts who took the victory 38-10.
