1st Walton Rainbows took advantage of the beautiful autumnal weather to plant spring bulbs in the newly planted community area at Tilling Drive allotments.The girls had great fun getting their hands dirty and will look forward to seeing their flowers in bloom next year.
Jill Piggot, allotment board member and a fellow Rainbow leader in Stone, was on hand to show the girls round the allotment.
1st Walton Rainbows leader Jane West said:
“It was lovely for the girls to be be able to plant out their own bulbs and, who knows, they might be inspired to have their own allotment when they are older.”
