Two day auction of Rare 20th Century British Pottery, Antiques, Ephemera, Furniture, Fine Art, Jewellery & Collectables

Saturday 10th at 10am & Sunday 11th November at 11am

Opportunities to preview the sale will be Thursday 8th – 10.00am – 5.00pm & Friday 9th – 9.00am – 5.00pm. We will also be holding an evening preview with refreshments on Friday evening between 5.00pm – 8.00pm.

Day 1:

Day one will commence with a large ephemera collection spanning subjects as diverse as food, drink and commerce predominantly from the first half of the twentieth century but also including some earlier and later pieces, followed by a 200 lot collection of Lafayette large studio portrait photographs of famous society subjects.

An extensive selection of pottery and ceramics comprises of a rare collection of Wedgwood including personal items from the prestigious Wedgwood designers Norman Wilson and Millicent Taplin, prestige items and early plaques.

An excellent collection of Moorcroft pottery featuring rare items by three generations of the Moorcroft family.

A fine selection of Royal Doulton figures, character jugs, Flambe, Sung, Chang, loving cups, animals, Bunnykins and prototype pieces. Some interesting and rare Beswick horses, animals, birds, fish, cattle and Beatrix Potter.

A collection of rare Crown Staffordshire pottery, 18th & 19th century Staffordshire figures, Pearlware, an early Delft tile panel and plaque, Continental porcelain figure groups and vases.

Plus many other items of pottery and ceramics by Minton, Carltonware, Wade, Shelley China, Clarice Cliff and Royal Worcester, as well as dinner and tea wear.

Day 2:

The second day of the auction starts with an interesting collection of vintage Hi-Fi equipment including speakers, amplifiers, turntables and tuners.

Then follows antique and quality furniture, clocks and musical boxes. Oil paintings by Reginald George Haggar, Harry Smith, Alan King, John Chirnside and Ada Shrimpton.

There is an eclectic selection of stamps, books and military items including a rare set of WWII medals and items belonging to a Commander from the Royal Navy.

There are some unusual lots of Chinese pottery, Jade and other oriental items. A comprehensive collection of vintage Dinky and Corgi toys, whisky, wine, bronzes, brassware, copper and other metalware plus collectors and sporting items.

The sale contains many lots of coins, sovereigns, silver and silver plate, as well as a very extensive selection of antique gold and silver jewellery, diamond and precious stone set jewellery, pocket watches, vintage wristwatches by Rolex, Omega, Patek Phillipe and Tudor.
