* Pay all medical costs for 1 month, or
* Run the Inpatient Unit for a week, or
* Run Day Therapy Unit for 6 weeks, or
* Run the Living Well services for 2 months
Supporters who wish to buy or sell tickets can visit the website at www.dmhospice.org.uk/form-raffle, call 01782 344321 or visit the Supporter Hub at the Blurton-based hospice.
Alternatively, supporters can visit any of Dougie Mac’s 20 shops to purchase tickets as they will be sold in-store for 2 weeks only from Tuesday 27th November.
Debbie Lewington, a former Day Therapy Patient and keen supporter of Dougie Mac, is backing the Christmas Raffle because every pound raised helps people like Debbie access the care they deserve.
“I received counselling that helped me change my mind set about my diagnosis. I made some amazing friends at the hospice and the support I received from everyone around me remains immeasurable. I also valued the medical support which was very easy to access, and no question was too silly. Finally, the arts, crafts and relaxation were really great for freeing my mind. The Day Therapy Unit is a truly wonderful place and that’s all down to the funds that local people lovingly raise.”
Donna Adams, Head of Lottery said;
“We are grateful to Debbie for sharing her story with us, and also to Pinkstones Toyota for supporting our Raffle once again this year. Our raffles have become a really important part of fundraising for the Hospice. Last year our Christmas Raffle raised £66,817 of which every penny went towards helping the hospice to continue to provide much needed care for patients and their families.
“The Christmas Raffle is a great way for local people to win a cash prize and show their support for the hospice. Not only could they become a winner but so will the hospice. Every £1 really does make a difference and I’d like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to everyone who takes part.”
The closing date for all tickets to be returned is Monday 31st December and the draw will take place on Wednesday 9th January 2019. Results will be available to view on the website.
