The first match announced for WOS Wrestling’s UK tour date in Stoke will see two of the ITV show’s biggest personalities collide.

‘The People’s Champion’ Grado will battle ‘The East End Butcher’ Sha Samuels on a star-studded event at the city’s Victoria Hall on Friday, January 25.

Grado vs Sha Samuels will be part of an exciting card of LIVE British wrestling action featuring the larger-than-life stars of this summer’s Saturday afternoon WOS television show – which marked British wrestling’s return to ITV for the first time since the 1980s.

Stoke wrestling fans are encouraged to snap up their tickets quickly before they sell out as high demand is expected for the live show.

Grado captured the WOS Championship on ITV’s televised New Year’s Eve special two years ago but lost the title to Samuels’ cohort Rampage in the first episode of the new series earlier this year.

The fun-loving Scot then went on to capture the WOS Tag Team Championship alongside British Bulldog Junior, son of one of British wrestling’s all-time greats ‘The British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith.

The chubby-cheeked star describes himself as ‘Medium Daddy’ – a smaller version of the legendary Big Daddy who was a massive TV wrestling hero of the 1970s and 80s.

Against all odds the charismatic underdog has become one of UK wrestling’s biggest modern-day names and landed major roles in TV sitcoms Scot Squad and Two Doors Down.

Mean-spirited Londoner Samuels is jealous of Grado’s success and is determined to put the fan favourite in his place when the WOS tour visits the Potteries.

The match will be just one of several exciting bouts on the Stoke card.

Other names already announced for the WOS Wrestling tour, which begins on January 18 in Southampton, include the WOS Champion‘Superhuman’ Justin Sysum, WOS Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, the 36 stone Monster Crater, ‘The Prestigious One’ Joe Hendry, former Love Island contestant Adam Maxted, his arch-rival and former tag team partner ‘The Showstealer’ Nathan Cruz, masked high-flyer Robbie X, the fearsome Rampage, daredevil international star ‘The Aerial Assassin’ Will Ospreay and many more!
