Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is encouraging both keen and novice cyclists to take part in Velo Birmingham & Midlands on Sunday 12th May 2019, in aid of the lifesaving charity.
The vitally important service has secured ten places to fill for the Velo cycle ride, which will see participants joining 7,000 riders on a 100 mile closed road journey through the West Midlands, covering Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Warwickshire, Dudley and Sandwell.
Taking part in the event will cost each cyclist £100 for registration, along with £100 raised in sponsorship money for the charity.
Partakers will encounter stunning countryside, panoramic views, picturesque villages and iconic climbs, along with tens of thousands of local residents lining the streets to cheer them on.
Abbie Hawkins, events coordinator for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “This is a fantastic annual event and we’re so pleased to be able to give ten people the chance to take part in aid of our lifesaving charity.
“There’s no better time than the New Year to get practicing for a new challenge, and as we’ll have a team of MAAC cyclists, it will be a great day to meet new people.”
