Earlier Date for Popular Plant Fair – Thousands of Fabulous Plants Coming to a Plant Fair Near You!

The Plant Hunters’ Fair at Sugnall Walled Garden is on the earlier than usual of Saturday 23rd March. What hasn’t changed is the great value entry price of just £1 for entry to the fair and gardens and the great quality of the 17 nurseries and artisans attending.

Spring is here and it’s time to get out in the garden and get planning and planting for the year ahead and where better to get inspiration and some brilliant plants than at this popular event, 17 nurseries and artisans from 8 different counties are booked to attend offering a brilliant choice of plants from alpines to acers and everything in between. At this time of year, the nurseries will come laden with flowering bulbs and shrubs to provide instant colour, but also lots of later flowering plants to get planted now for colour into the summer and beyond. Now’s the time think ahead and plan that dream border for your garden. If you are new to gardening the stall holders are always happy to share their expertise to help you select the best plants for your own unique garden.

The Walled Kitchen Garden at Sugnall near Eccleshall Staffs dates from 1738 and has been restored as a working kitchen garden producing fruit and vegetables to serve in the tearoom and for homemade jams and chutneys on sale at the garden. For those of you who have caught the “grow your own” bug the garden will be an inspiration.

Entry to the walled garden and plant fair is just £1.00. Dogs on leads welcome. The fair runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday 23rd March. The Walled Garden is on the B5026, Eccleshall to Loggerheads road. There is ample free parking. For full details of nurseries attending please see
