Parents looking for ways to keep the kids occupied during the summer half term are in luck – with the announcement of two great performing arts workshops at Stone’s Rooftop Studios.
The two dates feature diverse themes to cater for different ages and interests, with the new Avengers Assemble! movie providing inspiration for the workshop on Wednesday, 29th May and the Thursday 30th May workshop celebrating all things mermaid-related!
On the Wednesday, Marvel fans will be encouraged to attend in fancy dress to enjoy a host of singing, dancing and acting activities themed around the new movie, with the chance to act out scenes from the film as well as take part in craft activities. Thursday, meanwhile, will see little mermaids – and mermen – join a magical mermaid parade with mermaid-themed pampering including nail painting, hair styling and face painting alongside singing, dancing and crafting fun.
Both sessions rom from 9.30am – 3.30pm with wraparound care available to offer flexible childcare for working parents – as studio director, Laura Keeling, explains:
“Juggling family life and work can be tough – especially during half term breaks, so we aim to offer flexible childcare wrapped up in an experience the kids will absolutely love. There’s never a dull moment during our workshops and, while youngsters will have the chance to hone skills in the performing arts, the emphasis is very much on having fun and building confidence – so they’re equally suited to regular little performers and those who’ve never danced, acted or sung before.”
The workshops, priced at £25 per child cater for ages 3 – 18 years will take place on Wednesday 29th (Avengers Assemble!) and Thursday 30th (Magical Mermaid Parade) May 2019.
