Walton Priory Middle School Fun Run for Cancer Research

On a lovely summer’s day in July staff, parents, children, governors and friends of Walton Priory Middle School joined together to take part in their first Race for Life fun run to raise money for Cancer Research.

About 150 people ran or walked around the school grounds dressed in pink and fancy dress. The event was very well supported by local businesses including Florette and Delice de France. Everyone who took part received a goodie bag and a medal. The race was started by the new Mayor Mrs Jill Piggott.

Mrs Julie Freeman, race organiser, said

“we are so proud of the way our whole community joined together to raise money for this very worthwhile cause”.
